Rug studies

Nine rugs chosen by Mazen and Vincent for their elegance in any space.

See it styled

MAJLIS at home.

Shape, proportion, pile, and color come alive when you can picture the rug with furniture, light, and the rhythm of daily life around it.

Material and making

Why we build with ECONYL®.

We chose ECONYL® regenerated nylon because it does something rare: it helps the planet and makes a genuinely luxurious rug. Nylon waste is rescued, cleaned, regenerated, and spun into yarn, then hand-tufted into rugs that are soft underfoot and built for daily life.

From Ocean to Interior, a drawing by Vincent Dale showing recovered nylon moving through rescue, cleaning, regeneration, spinning, crafting, and circular use.

Waste becomes yarn.
Yarn becomes beauty.

Follow ECONYL® regenerated nylon from recovered material to the surface of a finished rug.

Why it earns its place

Made by hand.
Made for daily life.

A MAJLIS rug is an investment, and it should behave like one. Two things make it worth the figure: a fiber that performs to documented standards, and the two designers who stay with the piece from first sample to final approval.

The fiber, on the record

From ECONYL® by Aquafil
  • Resists stains and fading. Solution-dyed color and inherent stain protection make the fiber easier to live with.
  • Built for daily use. High abrasion resistance and texture retention help the surface hold up beautifully over time.
  • Regenerated without compromise. ECONYL® matches conventional nylon performance and can be regenerated repeatedly.

Questions, answered.

The essentials on ordering, materials, and care. For anything else, email hello@majliseditions.com.

What is your return policy?
Every MAJLIS mainline rug is hand-tufted to order for your specifications, so pieces are made for you rather than pulled from stock. Full details are in our Terms of Sale, and every rug is covered by the MAJLIS Warranty. If a rug arrives damaged or not as approved, email us within the window noted in the warranty and we will make it right.
How long does a rug take, and how do you ship?
Most mainland United States orders arrive in roughly 8-10 weeks total, including made-to-order production and delivery coordination after final approval. International timing and freight details are confirmed by destination.
Is there an order minimum?
No. Order a single rug or specify across a full project.
How is a MAJLIS rug priced?
Every MAJLIS rug is commissioned and made to order, so it is priced by the piece rather than from a shelf. The figure follows the work itself: its size, surface, pile, and the level of detail or bespoke craft involved. Each design is scoped and confirmed with you before anything goes into production, so there are no surprises. Designers and firms receive dedicated trade pricing once their trade account is approved.
What are MAJLIS rugs made of?
Mainline rugs are hand-tufted with ECONYL® regenerated nylon, engineered for daily use with a soft hand and clear color. See the MAJLIS Warranty for care and coverage.
Can I order a fully custom or hand-knotted rug?
Yes. Our mainline is hand-tufted, and MAJLIS Bespoke opens up hand-knotted, loomed, embellished, and other methods built around your brief. Email hello@majliseditions.com to start.
